Tee Pee Campground- Mackinaw City, Michigan

We stayed at the Tee Pee Campground in Mackinaw City. Some of my favorite parts about visiting Mackinaw City is:
1) The Hubs family stayed at the Tee Pee Campground when he was a kid! How fun that the kids got to stay at the same place that their Daddy did when he was a kid! I'll have to see if there are any pictures from when he was a kid to show the kids! There was a beach with a playground at the Campground and the kids had TONS of fun playing in the sand! They weren't about to let the wind and cold stop them from enjoying themselves!

2) We Honeymooned near Mackinaw City, so we got to take the kids to a few places where we visited when we first got married. I took a picture of our family from a bench we sat on overlooking the bridge! Unfortunately Baby Boy was standing right behind my head and I didn't realize it.
This picture is from our Honeymoon 9 years ago!

This one is from this summer!

Here are a few other pictures near the bridge!

3) Grandpa and Grandma H came to visit us! They spent some of their summer in the Upper Peninsula and they drove a coupe of hours to come visit the kids. The kids didn't know they were coming until they pulled into our sight! I wish I could have taken pictures of their faces when they realized who it was! They were SO excited!

We didn't make it to Mackinac Island. We didn't want to take the dogs with us and we didn't want to leave them all day. Plus we weren't really sure how Baby Boy would do since he would most likely miss his nap. We are planning to visit again when the kids get a little older.

We had a wonderful time! The kids got to try Salt Water Taffy and Fudge for the first time! The Hubs got a new knife as a souvenir, the kids picked out toys and I got this shirt! I think it's one of the most creative state shirts!
